Top 3 Questions you will be asked when you apply for an SEO Job in Egypt

Getting hired as a Search engine optimization specialist (SEO) is not as easy as it appears. There is a reason why an SEO specialist in Egypt commands premium compensation. If you are interested in obtaining a position within the search marketing industry, or doing SEO in Egypt, you need to be able to pass a rigorous interview. Below are several questions one may encounter during such an interview.

1.) Are you Google Certified?

This is the first cut-off question you can expect. Nearly all accomplished SEO specialists need to have a strong understanding of paid search, in addition to natural search. Think of it this way, how can one optimization a website for high placement within Google, if they do not understand how Google’s revenue model works?

For example, if one owns a website about Cheese, they want to get as many cheese buyers to their website, as possible. However, attempting to optimize the website for the keyword phrase “Cheese” would be difficult, at best. More important, the search phrase “Cheese” would draw significant traffic.

However, the traffic would include both buyers and a significant number of non-buyers. Understanding which keyword phrases convert best, for advertisers will help to determine the best phrases for optimization.

2.) What keyword density should a target phrase be, within a given piece of content?

In some ways, this is a trick question. It will test to see how current the candidate with his optimization knowledge. Several years ago, SEO experts discovered a loop-hole within Google. They found that if they wrote their web content in a certain way, which it would list highly within the search engine results pages (SERPS).

More specifically, if the keyword phrase represented about 4% - 5% of all words, within the content, Google would optimize for that word. In the last 24 months, Google has picked up on this trick. Now, they will penalize web content that has keywords “stuffed” into it. They are algorithms can also read the keyword phrases, within the context of the content.

They can tell if the phrase has been forced into the article (whether or not it is relevant to the rest of the sentence). Currently, SEO experts recommend no more than 2% keyword density, for a given keyword phrase.

3.) How many keywords should one optimize, on a given page?

Having too many targeted keywords, on a given pages dilutes all the keywords. The optimal number is two to three. This assumes that each page has about 500 words of content. If it has more, there is a little more flexibility. If it has less, the SEO expert should aim for one or two keyword phrases.

How Keyword research is done for SEO by using Adwords external tool?

Keyword research is the process of determining which keywords you want your website to rank for on search engines thus yielding the highest return on investment.

Previously we explained how search engines work on Egypt SEO last post, today we continue by explaining how keyword research is done from Egypt search engine optimization

How to Do Keyword Research?

There are many tools for keyword research, but today we will use Google keyword research tool.

Google keyword research tool can be found at:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?forceLegacy=true

This tool is originally designed for Adwords, but it can come in handy when doing SEO keyword research. Once you go to the tool's page you will find a box to enter your keyword in it.

Begin your keyword research by entering the most broad and relative keywords or key phrases to your article and make sure you set the language to your desired language and set the location to the location where your target audience is or to all countries and territories if you are targeting a global audience and tick synonymous.

After checking all the above settings, make sure you choose exact matching to display accurate search volume.

You will find several relative key phrases and keywords appeared to you, start choosing the most relative and related phrases or keywords to make a unified theme for your article or topic.

After eliminating all non relative keywords, and selecting the most relevant ones. Most probably you will end with 10 to 15 key phrases. Start  by eliminating the least ones till you reach 3 to 4 tight, strongly related key phrases.

Then repeat the whole process again with your selected phrases, rinse and repeat till you choose 2 or 3 themed keywords and start writing your article about them.

Some people choose their keywords based on local or traffic volume and other people choose them based on advertiser competition because they want to get the maximum revenue from their adsense ads displayed on their blog or website.

My advice is to only choose the keywords that matches your theme and enjoys a decent traffic volume, don't aim for high traffic short keywords at the beginning of your website's life. And write good content then start to build links (will be explained later) to your website and pages.

To wrap it up, use google adwords external tool. While making sure you check your settings in regards of the following factors: country, language, match type to be exact and check local and global search volume & synonymous.

What is SEO and how does it work?

SEO is the process of making a website and its content highly relevant for both search engines and searchers. In order to understand what and how SEO is done, Egypt SEO will explain how Search Engines Work.

So let us look at the 3 major components that power search engines;

1- Crawling

Search Engines have spiders that crawl around the internet looking for new content. But what are the Search Engines Spiders?

Search Engines spiders are software designed to read content on websites pages and then tirelessly continue their journey by following links from one page to another.

2- Indexing

Spiders save content in a giant data base called the “index" , Spiders also examine how content is relevant to the words searchers use when they want to find an answer for something.

3- Ranking

The final and most important component, it is the technology used to determine which page on the web is most relevant to any given search term. Search engines follow a set of rules to rank websites and/or pages.

To learn how SEO works, stay tuned at Egypt Search Engine Optimization.

How to rank your article above your competitor in the Search engines?
By “Spoon Feeding” Search Engines relative content.

But Why do you have to “Spoon Feed” search engines relative content?

Because Search Engines aren’t sophisticated as you may think, It isn’t that they are dumb. But they are like little children who need information to be presented to them in a way they understand.

For Example, you can write an article about Zamalek football club in Egypt and you may use smart metaphors. Any intelligent reader will understand your article is talking about Zamalek Football club, not the classy neighborhood named Zamalek also!

But Search Engines MAY Not understand that you’re writing about Zamalek football club in Egypt if you don’t use words like “football, club, shikabala” in certain locations and frequencies your article may not rank well if someone is searching for Zamalek football club.

As an Seo specialist in Egypt, I must maintain balance between writing engaging content for people and “Spoon Feeding” search engines at the same instance.

So How to maintain that balance?

To maintain balance you must include in your articles and within special area in them they keywords which are relative to your subject and at the same time people use when searching on search engines for your subject. which is called Keyword research.

This is all for now, stay tuned for more Egypt SEO tips and gudies!
